watch this! It's UC Ringmaster getting inducted into the CT Morgan Horse Hall of Fame! He's 32 years old...but you'd never know it. What a testament to the longevity of the Morgan horse.

The Big Project update:

I am touched and amazed at how helpful and supportive people can be! Thank you!

The Big Project is taking me on many adventures....How exciting. I also need to thank my friends and family for checking in with me and simply asking "how is the Big Project going?" and then telling me how great it is that I am doing it. This keeps me going. Trust me folks, it's a BIG project. It will take lots of time to complete, and I need that encouragement.

I can't overstate this:

THANK YOU!!

Okay, so when will I stop with the cryptic tone of these blog posts? Well, I have a deadline of Dec. 1, 2010 to get phase one finished. I will know more after that, then I can let the horse out of the barn. (Instead of the cat out of the bag! Haha. Anyway...)

In other news, I scheduled my
HOLIDAY OPEN STUDIO!

It will be Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11am-3pm at Sound the Bugle Studio, 6 Kenyon Rd., Hampton, Connecticut. See you there!!

Autumn is almost here! A quick check in--

Hello All,

Things are getting really busy, and I love it.

My Big Project (all will be revealed later!) is moving along nicely. I am almost done with the first part, so exciting. Many thanks to those who are helping me and encouraging me! I am keeping a list of the wonderful individuals who are so selflessly generous with their time and knowledge, and believe me, you will all get a big, formal thank you when the time comes. *big smiles*

Looks like I won't have much free time from now until December. I am knee deep in paint and projects! It's a wonderful life.

Thank you for supporting this happy artist.

Send french fries! I'll be under a mountain of canvas. :-)

UC High Hopes, aka "Shoe"

UC High Hopes, aka "Shoe", 16" x 20", acrylic and copper leaf on canvas, 2010.

Shoe is a wonder horse. A UConn bred Morgan, he broke both hind legs in a paddock accident and he not only healed completely, but he went on to excel in dressage. He is my hero!

His portrait is a prize for winning High Point Champion with his rider, Megan Brauch. Congrats, you guys!
