Meeting a Mentor

This summer, I will be meeting an art mentor for the very first time. This August, I will finally meet Brandy Kitten Gale, expressionist extraordinaire.

Brandy gave me some very sound advice when I first starting out in 2001-2002. She also encouraged me to create, create, create and she always heaped on the compliments and suppport.

Brandy was also the one who told me that artists should not compete. She said to me, "There are so many different styles and artists out there--we are all different. There is enough work for all of us." She is right.

Brandy continues to listen patiently to my woes, offer valuable input and advice and cheer me on in my artistic triumphs. She is not only a mentor, but she is also a friend.

Check out her artwork at www.singlemaltcove.com. Prepare to be inspired. I was. Her mastery of watercolor is simply amazing.

Looking forward to meeting you, Brandy!

Wow, such kind words - made my day! Looking forward with great glee to our get-together, H. I'll be the pink haired one jumping up and down!
Fondly,
