Sound The Bugle Studio features the expressive equine art of Helen Scanlon. Helen has been drawing and studying the equine form for over three decades. Her style focuses on the expressive and vibrant aspects of artistic interpretation. Helen studied fine arts at the University of Connecticut, and received her BA in Art History and Sociology, with minor concentrations in drawing and design. Helen Scanlon's equine art and pet portraits are featured in private collections in the USA, Canada and the UK. the book will hopefully be done by fall, 2007. And yes, the original illustrations and paintings will be for sale. Thanks for asking.

I can't wait for the book either. What else has Kim Lindell written (I can't find her on Amazon)? What other books have you illustrated?
Kim is a freelance writer, and this will be her first foray into the world of books. And me, this will be my first book as well. I was hired to do a children's book last year, and that has been put on hold until the author takes care of other more pressing matters in her life.
So until that project goes back into full swing, I thought I would do my own.
It's exciting! Thanks for your interest...I will keep everyone posted. It's thrilling to see so much positive feedback. We promise to create a beautiful book that is fun and informative. We are also planning to self-publish, so watch this space for updates!
